Probably some. Mostly straight piped trucks.
Tractors
Big trucks
Lawnmowers
Go carts.
Pretty much everything was straight piped either by design or the mufflers rotted off on there own.
Operating a tractor pull sled for 20 years without ear plugs didn't help I'm sure!cke, IH Truck Guy, Sons Hero and 10 others Thank this. -
Been a busy summer and wheat harvest. They told me it was gonna be a light wheat harvest. Not sure who perspective that was.
But we are making do. Management had a close eye on me however.IH9300SBA, cke, IH Truck Guy and 18 others Thank this. -

Brother and I had a pair of Hereford yearling steers. MW and BW...Got an old ox yoke from dad's twin bro, yoked and had us a little 2 wheel cart, , kinda 4 x 6 flat on 2 steel wagon wheels. Workable rig, but they would get to turning their rears out, heads together and no forward motion. We would align and restart...
Dad's twin bro was over one Saturday when we were working them and it happened.
He observed and just said: Go get me a couple pieces of that baler twine. Don went and got, Uncle Ad just reached over and looped their tails together with the two pieces. Put their azzess in the go along, parallel. Dad and him logged from 12 year old, used horses. It is said they did not have a line on their teams, just voice commands... -

I’m only old enough to remember my Grand Dads last team. A pair of Mollie mules outta Belgium mares crossed on Mammoth jacks. Bugs and Jess he called them. I never seen him use a check line. He was in his 90’s had to use a pulley system tied to the rafters to get their collars on. At the time I had no idea what I was seeing, the way them mules would walk under that set up stand with absolute patience while he harnessed them. When he was backing them up they were wide eyed, shaking almost. That trace chain would pop and they would hunker and not move once he was clear he’d just whisper “get up” then the magic happened. To this day I love to watch a team. Especially a good team.

Freezer eventually. We'll feed them until they look right. Buyer takes several truckloads in October and they'll be in it if they are the right size. If not they'll go in December or January unless someone wants to commit to a freezer beef next fall. We have one big steer that's going to finish up real nice in a couple monthscke, Sons Hero, singlescrewshaker and 10 others Thank this.
