Good morning everyone,
I was recently fired from Cypress Truck lines about 2 weeks ago and now many companies do not want to touch me since I was fired with less than 1 year experience(i worked 3 months with US Xpress before Cypress). The reason I was fired was because when I was driving with my second trainer he did not like my load securement abilities or some driving abilities such as paying attention to the GPS and some backing skills. I didn't hit any thing or have any safety violations. It was just plain "they didn't like my progression and i wasnt a good fit for flatbed." So now I'm having a hard time finding a CDL job since I stated that I was fired. Ive tried Swift, KLLM, western express, Navajo, Tribe and various companies from this thread here Trucking companies that give second chances. Im at a loss and I'm heavily considering going back to white collar work if I can't find anything trucking or if I'm basically black balled. Should I have stated I was fired from Cypress if it wasn't for any safety or drug related reasons?

How long at Cypress?
Personally I’d take the attitude that you weren’t hired so just leave them off of your resume.
Problem solved
Maybe try Paul Transportation in Tulsa, OK if flatbed is what you want. Last I knew they hired new drivers.jaws2003 Thanks this. -
You're close enough to Troy, AL....to consider Wiley Sanders Truck Lines:
Truck Lines | Company Fleet | Shippers | On-Time Delivery | Wiley Sanders | Troy, Alabama
But....given your experience level at present....expect them to treat you as a new driver.

You should check your Hire Right (Driver A Check)/ Driver IQ reports to see exactly what is being reported (if anything) about you. I would avoid saying you were fired if possible. If they tried to blacklist you as a rookie via the above reports be sure to come back and let other folks know to avoid that company.
Moon_beam, nextgentrucker, tscottme and 2 others Thank this. -
Maybe try National Carriers.

The above is something you should probably do -- BEFORE you apply for a trucking job anywhere else.
