Well even when I do pull reefer it's our own product...our point is to keep the riff raff away from home. I git sent to the lions den.

 

That trailer is probably sitting at home rotting away.

My deck hasn't seen many miles lately for sure.
Alaska freight fell off a cliff for me the last 3 winters. Cheapskate haulers wrecked that just like everything else ...

My kid is going into his last year of highschool. This Fall he's signed up for the Text school driver training program. Told him every morning he can run a load of corn in with my old Pete on the way to school. No CDL ######## needed on that!

Bought a log trailer last fall. Gotta get my wet kit mounted on rain days this fall so she's ready for freeze up. Good local in-state gig for the kid to cut his teeth on I figure.

 

66k on tandems is wild. I believe legally we aren't allowed more than 7,300 kg or about 16,000 lbs on the steer axles out here on a logging tractor trailer. 24,000 kg/just under 53,000 on the tridem drives. Most are just a single frame, some are sleeved where the rear suspension is bolted on. A true double frame is not something I've seen often.

 

Nice trailer. Never seen super singles on a hayrack before. I remember a guy tried them out in the bush on his pole trailer, didn't work so well, not with how boney some of those BC logging roads are.

 

Nice rig up! A bunch of the locals got trucks up north running logs..summer time they're home pulling flowerpots. Lol flowerpots is what I call em anyways. Reefers or heated vans running flowers for huge greenhouses.

So far no insurance claim but if he rolls out from under it that is a major claim and probably a write-off and loss of coverage.
