Not really. It displayed “Transmission Fault” after leaving Cedar Rapids, Iowa in a slushy snowstorm on I-80 the first month I had it. I called our breakdown department and talked to Bill, who had ran the shop for years. He told me to keep driving it and that it would probably go away. I asked about cycling the key once I stopped somewhere. That was when he told me cycling the key won’t accomplish anything on the newer trucks and how to reset it by opening the door with the engine off, etc. He told me it might be the stalk and to try gently jiggling it where it meets the column. I did, and the fault went away within a few minutes. I’ve had it happen a few times in the past six months. It went away within minutes each time, though.

 

Thanks, guys. I dropped it at the Winter Haven terminal and will send an email to breakdowns about it.

 

If your inverter beeps once in a while when you’re making coffee or using the microwave, you might check the battery terminal nuts. They had a tendency to loosen up in my previous truck.
