Delivered a bunch of big-screen TVs to the WalMart DC in Smyrna. Picked up a pre-load in Millville, NJ. Bunch of glass jars. Delivers to Whately, MA tomorrow. Pitched up at a brand new truck stop in Vineland just 13 minutes away. Nice lot, fresh blacktop, nice roomy spaces. $15 for 12 hours of parking, but I'll pay $15 to avoid trying to find parking elsewhere in New Jersey.
This is apparently a broker load, though the broker is Swift, so it's still in-house. Will be braving rush hour NYC and Connecticut traffic on the morrow, something I typically try to avoid.hotrod1653, Lonesome, Knucklehead and 2 others Thank this. -
Ended up with a broker load that loaded in Hartford, WI to Pendergrass, Ga which Ill deliver Thursday morning. Trying to get me to Richmond for the service due on my truck plus throttle issue that popped up. Truck just slows down outta nowhere randomly and the pedal doesn’t work so gotta tap the brakes a few times til it starts to work again. Mostly does it at city speeds and driving around warehouses and truck stops.
Lonesome, Knucklehead and ExtremeUnction Thank this. -
You guys need to find a solid smaller Company where you can actually make money.

There are so many 200-500 trucks outfits that are solid where you can stay busy and make consistent money

They decided to send me to the Knight shop in Atlanta after empty. Next load picks up down the street tomorrow morning and delivers to Manassas 0400 Sat. Hope that MB place doesn’t make me sit for hours again like last time.

Up here in Whately, MA. Delivery was a drop at a Yankee Candle factory. Place smelled like scented candles.
Diner with truck parking a couple miles away. Pitched up here for the night. Had grilled ham and swiss, chili, and onion rings.
Picking up something or other in Hazleton, PA tomorrow, to be delivered to Ashland, VA tomorrow, then home a day early for hometime. 10 hour total trip time from here to shipper, and then to receiver. And there's Northern Virginia in the way. Gonna leave out early and try to time things to miss the worst of the traffic. -
Summertime Friday in Northern Virginia. I lived it for over 20 years before retiring and moving to the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Now I get a rash just thinking about what you have to drive through tomorrow
ExtremeUnction Thanks this.
