ALL of W Memphis. If you leave the "West Memphis" part out, it could be Kabul, Mogadishu or any other horrfying gem.

 

The 76 in Ontario, CA off I-10. Matter of fact, that whole area had all kinds of entertainment going on. Another one that comes to mind was a truck stop in Nogales, AZ. I can't even begin to remember the name of it. What a dump that place was.

 

I stopped there twice last year. Seriously great green chile enchiladas, and plenty of parking. It looks like something from a desolate movie location.

 

That place is dangerous and s***y. You don't remember the name because your eyes were busy scanning and panning. If you looked up at the signs, chances are you would miss something of critical importance. I should have known to keep on going when I saw the cop cars but I had to drop mud and get fuel. And lemme tell you, I sure wish I had a door gunner! That was the one and only time I ever stopped anywhere near there! That rivaled any of those wonderful meth labs with fuel pumps in Arkansas. Arkansas does have a motto: "Our truck stops will get a lot worse, we are working our hardest at it"
