Hi guys, unfortunately in all my infinite wisdom I forgot I still had a bottle of antigel in my side box from winter. The cap popped off it this morning for all of 10 minutes before I could investigate the “oil smell” coming from the sleeper area. I tried my best to clean it up with what I had on me: dawn power wash & shop towels. It wasn’t much, but some of it splashed down the air intake for my bunk hvac. The fumes are awful. Any suggestions?

That's gonna be with you for awhile, no matter what you do. Do you mean Howe's? If so it's mostly a diesel smell IMO and diesel smell does fade unless it's in carpet or something.

I don’t believe it’s Howe’s, my company gets it in bulk in a plain white barrel.

White vinegar. Thoroughly clean the spilled area with the vinegar and also when you stop the truck to sleep/break pour some in a bowl and let it sit overnight... it will definitely help suck up that anti gel smell...

I have apple cider vinegar. Think that could work?

Not sure. I edited my previous post. That big bottle was only like $3.

An old shop teacher i had in high school said to cut a couple of apples in half and they absorb the smell, so apple cider vinegar should work.

Old trick for smelly reefers is coffee grounds pours on the floor. Have no idea if that will help for antigel in sleeper a plus if it went in air intake for hater in sleeper is no fun. Maybe a bottle or two of fabreze at truck stop

Just fart in fresh air intake. Atleast it’ll be your own brand. Lol
