90k goes quite far in most of the country, just not where adults are allowed to sleep/piss/poop on the streets. It's also not about what you make its about how much you spend, and most cant control themselves.

Still low considering Maverik runs mostly on the west side of the country not exactly southern wage territory.

Im sure they pay more in more expensive areas. Im over 1,000 miles from LA and out here 90k for only working 4 days a week is not bad at all. That would qualify you for the median house out here.

Here Maverick is around 100-110 but that's 60+ hours a week and they've told me at the rack they are load pay. I don't think any other outfit pays by the load in this area.

I dont know what you posted but apparently here in Wyoming, Solar sent all of their trucks to Denver, gave all of the drivers one week pay as severance.

Person i heard it from said he saw this coming as soon as Maverik had bought out Solar. Given that Maverik is a sister company to Pilot and having worked at Pilot, cant exactly disagree.

Load pay is still the standard here in WY, and because of the lack of traffic you can make out decently as a result minus 4-5 months of winter which slows you down.

Another maverik driver told me they average 35-45 an hour depending on the run. Certainly ain't the best but they pay far more than all the smaller outfits, that I can say by experience.

Thats solid pay. Here when I was LTL the line runs averaged about 45/hr at the top paying outfit. Down to 30-33hr for small companies or Central Transport.

Of course that is just a straight hourly average, not an OT kind of scale. I'm doing fuel now and at a starter company I'm barely cutting my teeth on 23/hr. Teenagers at costco are making more than me driving a molotov ####tail by slinging hot dogs. 70hr weeks too but OT after 40. I started on days and there is absolutely no way in hell I'd work on load pay. It's a scam. Drowning in traffic all day. 14 hours can be only 3 loads some days. Nights I can double that without issue.
