Once again looking for parking tips, this time in/near San Diego, CA

If you are coming in on I-8 and don't mind an hour or so drive into SD in the mornings, there is the Golden Acorn Casino and Truck Stop before you drop off the hill. Guess it really depends where your drop is.

I’m not talking casino. It’s a nationwide network. They use an app. to find parking near wherever you are.

 

If your coming down the 15 there is a scale after fallbrook.after the scale is a couple pullouts,always a lot of trucks using it.if you just need sleep it's a good spot.no food or toilets close though

I have parked near downtown many times just a few blocks away from the main downtown area. I have found a lot of parking just south of the Coronado bridge , on the San Diego side not the Coronado side. Very nice area to take your 34 hour reset. Get a hotel room and enjoy the beautiful downtown area.

Why would you stay at the rest area? Golden Acorn is only a few miles east of there, and it's a nice place to park and it always has spots. I mean, if that's what you prefer, go for it.
