Could you imagine? Maybe a UPS driver drinks one. Gets called in for a random. Loses his job. Let's see. That's 20-30 years of lost wages at $100K+ per year. You'd be set for life.

But, would not one notice the difference in taste right away?

From what I read they got the wrong cans. Forgot to check them, filled them and put them into cardboard 12 packs showing the correct brand and contents. I don't think anybody can sue when they bought an alcoholic beverage and then the cans inside were mislabeled.

So how does a place that always uses the same cans not notice when a batch comes in obviously different, all the way down the production cycle to packaging?

That's what you get when you fire your employees and work on pure automation.

Can company mislabeled some skids of cans. When the fork truck loaded the outbound truck, the barcode/rfid matched what he was told to load, so he loaded it. Same thing at offload. Same thing at production - the tags match, so it's good to go.

Employees are paid to follow instructions, not think for themselves. Even if they were engaged in critical thinking - do they know what the production run is? Do they know the difference in brands? A contract brewer is going to be using dozens of different cans, so I can easily understand the error.

    Moosetek13 and Lonesome Thank this.
