it depends on what you want out of retirement.
I want peace and quite, no stress and just kick back
house and car paid off and I won't be traveling much since the wife died and I've been everywhere. lol. was going to take her to see where all those calls came from.

I'll retire in May of 26 with 44 years. I've debated putting my CDL on hold and see. The company I work for has offered me a part-time gig but I dont know. I really enjoy being out here, but the longer I stay in this industry, I'm just ready to get out.

The field is overcrowded right now. Companies are going out of business right left and center. In my opinion there has NEVER been a driver shortage. There has always been to many drivers in the trucking industry.

I do call out driving for AECOM logistics, Mercury NV, But also drive for Heartland Express. When Im available I call into AECOM, kind of nice to do the call out stuff, extra moneynextgentrucker Thanks this.
