, delivering new Petes, NOW yer talkin'!! Is Peterbilt still in Waukesha? I knew a guy that did that out of Green Bay, and loved it. Sometimes the "trade-in" you had to drive back was a bit challenging, but probably by the hour anyway. I'm just saying, you ( and I) had a whole lifetime to try and make it, we did okay, but for whatever reason, ended up failing miserably. As an older person, I figure it's just too late to try and "catch up", I all but guarantee, it will be 1 step forward, 2 back, like auto repair, you can't win. I bet there are a lot of jobs like the Pete job, where younger folks just aren't doing that. I read, ( and was surprised) Paccar sold almost 40,000 new Petes in 2023, a 2.7% increase, and that's just Peterbilt. I always thought that would be a neat job. Good luck pal, and you say your kid is doing better, thank goodness, but may need you again, and how would you feel being stuck in some God forsaken truckstop in Louisiana when she needed you?
