I think it's a joke. No one in their right mind would think a 454 can pull 80k?

He keeps talking about horsepower, and I think I have counted 5 times people tell him it's about TORQUE!

 

No DOubt, I wonder of the coops hve to look twice before they realize what they are looking at?

I was just like you searching for help hoping members would tell me what I wanted to hear. The people on this forum treated me the same way they did you by providing realistic answers. They are just trying to help you and be realistic. I love your idea of doing what can't be done and think you should do it when you have more money at your disposal.

No one is forcing you to O/O. Go company to get that bank account built up. Heres a list of expenses to think about:

Plates and registration: $1500
Insurance down payment: $4000
Tires: $300.00 a piece; for 10 $28-3000.00
Trailer: Dry van/Reefer down payment: 1-2K for a good one.

These total more than the 1600.00 you talk about and you have to figure the cost of switching the diesel tanks/systems to gas. Good luck in your decision and if you fail, do not be disappointed as you tried your best.

There fixed it.....

No offense KH.....but until you have been an O/O you have only "read" about the costs....

You also left out many other expenses as well....What about Weight-distance Taxes in certain states????
