Not much, really. It's doubtful that he'll make it past the computer screening.
At this point I'd say his only option is to go in person to companies and plead his case.
But, yeah, with most companies they're going to use DAC or Hire Right......will not pass.

The OP's ability to work has been damaged due to a malicious act by his former employer; he followed their instructions, but since he decided to not come back to work for them they decided to slander his record as retaliation. He not only has a case for getting the DAC stuff removed, but a BIG lawsuit as well. In the meantime, do NOT talk to your former employer! Do NOT ask them to remove the DAC info! DO keep applying and getting rejections. Ask these people why you are getting rejected and SAVE those records; this is all evidence for your lawsuit.

Where are you located? If you are in upstate NY, I know a good one. If not, just do a google search for "transportation attorneys in <enter your city name>" . Any attorney would be SALIVATING at the chance for this suit! It could be worth millions, but more likely will just be settled for a significant 6-figure amount. Regardless, do NOT contact one of those "general lawsuit hucksters" that advertise on TV and have repetitious 800- or 808- numbers; those guys ain't worth SQUAT!

 

Boy, there's a kick in knickers for ya'. And, technically, it was an abandonment, but come on. Only shows to go, how out of touch the human element really is today. I wouldn't want to be part of an industry that did that.

 

Just Google "how do I dispute something on my credit report". I understand you are not asking about his credit report, but DAC / Hire Right is governed by the regulations for credit reporting companies. I had a medical emergency and was disqualified from driving as well.
The truck was left at a truck stop to be recovered by someone.
That situation is not abandonment.
