Its funny I haven't noticed that, where did you work over this side?
-
I’m in Manitoba.

Prices on property in semi rural communities is starting to rise. A lot of the small communities around the perimeter of the major cities are almost suburbs now. Folks that can't afford to live in those communities are now flocking to the small communities 20-30 minutes away where houses are about 30% less (for now).
-
Ah, that explains it. Im certain you know the drivers market there, but its a bit different here.
-
In N.B. prices doubled and tripled during covid, and though lots of people regretted leaving the places they were used to and eventually returned there the market has stayed high as it appears the whole of Canada has a shortage of housing. Im told its because of the uncontrolled entries of new Canadians during the last government and certainly the origins of the population here has changed very much during the last few years.
-
Never changed that much here. Definitely went up though.

Houses are expensive, and rents are crazy now compared to a few years ago but you still can't get a family doctor or even on a list and there's homeless people all over the place. Not like Vancouver obviously but there's lots now where there were almost none. Sign of the times I suppose, everywhere has changed.
-
I started my prep to go to Canada 2/3 years ago and prices have went up massively even since then.
the UK and I think most of the world isn’t any better sadly. -
No offence intended, I meant it in the context there are far more loads going east or west or south from the western provinces than the east coast.
