From the early 80's to the early 90's I ran my pickups on propane, and I loved it. I could change oil and 5 or 6,000 miles later, it looked like I just changed it. Then the govt comes in and sticks their big ### nose in things and mandates a change in the carburetor system so the old system can't be used. The new system without the tank was a little over 2K and that was a good chunk of change back then. Needless to say me and everyone else stopped using propane, and the propane man was not a happy camper.

Our old shop truck was propane or butane I ain’t real sure. It was a mid to late 70’s Dodge extended cab. I don’t really remember a lot about it other than it was ugly and it made people that had to drive cuss especially my mother. Then we got rich and bought a new Chevrolet 1/2 ton long bed with a 6.2 diesel in it. She liked it better but not a lot. She refused to start it. Once it was cranked she didn’t kill it till it got back home. Needless to say if whatever she was going after wasn’t greasy and would fit in the boat she took that lmao.

Here you go! It's not a real powerhouse, but it hauled a lot of corn and dirt. Right before I brought it home, it was the seed wheat truck.
Dual oil bath air cleaners. The gasoline drip on the intake is before we replaced the carburetor and the ducting to the air cleaners.

It would run 70 empty. I think the custom gas pedal might push it to 72. Note the copper airlines behind the gas.

I never seen a tilt cab with the hood up. I never gave any thought to how all its appendages were mounted etc. That thing is definitely cool

If you look at the left side of the 1st picture, about the top of the clutch pedal there is a knob, that is the trailer air supply.
