    Out of all the YouTube trucking channels Higb is hands down the best one. That guy runs a tight ship and knows his expenses down to the penny.

    Notice how all the interstates are still full of trucks. The truck stops are still full of trucks. In my humble opinion, I feel like the foreigners are taken over with foreign owners and being subsidized, not only by foreign entities, but also by tax money. They're running the rates down, but they're still getting subsidized so they can run. Once they take over the Transportation industry of the United States I don't know bingo. But hey, what do I know?

    What if ATA pushes the narrative of the driver shortage to get the foreigner drivers in the seat so that can be dangerous so the people beg for automated trucks. What if it’s all one big scam to get rid of us

    His problem is right there on his spreadsheet. He’s averaging low 2’s for revenue per mile. You can’t operate at that any longer. He needs to focus on getting revenue up. He says it’s not horrible but it clearly is.

    His cost to operate is $1.64. In my mind he needs to add .50 for his wages then add 20% of the total and that needs to be his minimum rate.

    1.64+.50=2.14
    2.14x.20=0.428
    2.14+0.428=2.568

    In my opinion if he would push for 2.58 minimum all miles he would see a dramatic change. And it wouldn’t be that hard. He’s already at 2.30. It seems he has a handle on what it’s costing, but he’s not applying those numbers to set a rate.

    I don't get his math. $5800 in fuel? That can't be right. And 4 loads in 15 days? Only 1 long load. Might have to work a little harder than that

    Funny how many people focus only on cost, and not on revenue production

    I was watching the above posted video just now until the Bonehead Truckers guy just mentioned a “non-domicile CDL”.

    Ok, what the hell is a “non-domicile cdl” and why is this even a thing?? :biggrin_2551:

    It’s a foreign driver that doesn’t live here. Mostly here on work visas. Why is it a thing? Well that’s the million dollar question
