You do inspire. And I do make a lot of of my own hardware for different projects. But your skill far exceeds mine. Evidently you're just #### good or you owned a machine shop

I don’t have a machine shop, but I do have some odd and end tools, and I have “friends in low places”. :D

What I mean by friends in low places is, a friend with a lathe, another guy I know with a plasma table and press brake.
Most times I can give them a heads up, and go do what I need to do, or send them a CAD (cardboard aided design) and they can cut it out.
I have a surface grinder with a spin fixture, grinder with cutting wheels, flap discs, etc, mag drill, welder, and recently got a Bridgeport, but don’t have it hooked up yet.

cke, Gatordude, JolliRoger and 17 others Thank this.

Some electrical tape wrapped around would have patched it. :D

I found an old shop rag stuffed down in there. :D
Those holes explain why it’d nearly melt my toenails off, especially after a long pull.

cke, Gatordude, Feedman and 13 others Thank this.

Oh lord, I have a high school memory of exactly that scenario. Not sure which one of us gasped more!

You just couldn’t figure out why it started to feel so much better.
