Do you know yet if you want to start out dryvan/reefer, flatbed or tanker? What are some things you hope to get out of your first year? Do you want longer hauls where you can see more of the country, frequent hometime etc...?

What carriers (if any) visited your class while you were in CDL school?
Do you not like any of them?

It’s like that show, “Undercover Boss,” where the company CEO hides his identity and takes on a low level job to see the business from the ground up. Everyone thinks ALL truck drivers are stupid. When someone thinks you’re stupid, hide your cards. If I were OP, I would never voluntarily mention my business experience to anyone involved with the trucking company. Discerning people will realize that you are different from average, and the true idiots of the world will never be able to figure you out.Deere hunter, DJB25, Ddh77777 and 4 others Thank this.

Can't speak for the OP, but a guy I know who got his CDL from a community college program earlier this year said only one recruiter came to his class. When I got mine in 2022, it seemed like we had a different recruiter almost every day. Granted, I went the private school route, so maybe the recruiters just target those more because they know a lot of their students have new loans to pay back, but it could also be a sign of how slow the market is.
