Hi Melody, and welcome to the forum!

That really sucks that your hubby sent out so many resumes, can't be easy for either of you to live with that uncertainty and disappointment.
Lots of folk choose trucking as a second career, and their families have to learn to adapt to their new lifestyle.
It will be a tough transition, but its a whole new adventure, and here is the best place to ask questions and learn about your new life!

Be sure to visit the Ladies Room. When Baack and Oldie leave us enough room, its where us wives yap away, so come and join in!

    Melody,
Welcome and don't feel alone. I read an article today that says 1 out of 5 men over the age of 50 will not be able to find work in their field again, even after a recovery. Those jobs are gone forever, as America abandons manufacturing.
I was in the same boat and so are some of my friends. However, I've returned to my trucking roots and it's fine.
Be sure and post any questions. One thing for sure...older men are entering this field as never before. He isn't alone!
