I've been working for Panther since March 1st of this year and I have no complaints with them at all. I haven't even had any problems with the dispatches. (which I've heard other people complain about) They're always friendly and helpful. Hope this helps!

Been with Panther since last july. I can't really answer any questions about what it's like to have a truck signed on with Panther, because we drive for a fleet owner.
The only times we have had problems getting paid is when I didn't follow procedures. The only times we had problems getting home is when either I had the case of the stupids and accepted a load going the wrong way, too far to deadhead. The very very few problems we have had troubles with dispatchers has usually been cleared up with a phone call to our team leader.
A few facts to keep in mind.
Panther does not use forced dispatch
Expediting is not like truck load trucking. There are many times in straights
and 53' you will pull maybe one or two pallets. -
I've known 2 people (1 man 1 woman) who drove for PANTHER, each one drove a van and ended up as an O/O.
The woman worked for her son first and enjoyed it. When she bought her own van and became an O/O she said she had too much time between loads. Also, she said PANTHER did not respect her "sleep" or "not in service" time by continuously calling her on her cell phone. She has children so she had to keep her cell phone on. She left PANTHER after being an O/O for 9 months.
The man started driving for a fleet owner and eventually bought his own vans and became an O/O. He loved it and he too complained about long times between loads, but he learned where to deadhead at his own expense to be available for more loads. He worked there for 7 1/2 years and then they fired him because they received a complaint about him from a customers receiving clerk. I don't know the details, all I know is that he told me they did not talk to him about the complaint to get his side of the story; all they did was terminate him. He immediately found a different company to drive for and he enjoys it. He's driving a straight truck.
I've thought about driving a van for PANTHER and would like to hear more from people who have driven or are driving a van for them.NukedNative Thanks this. -
Talked to a panther recuter last week. For an owner op team with owners own trailer, not panthers, avg miles were 2500 miles a week at $1.65+FSC.
Now answer me this.Who in the hell would want to run with a company who by their on admission does not run a ream any more than that???
2500 miles?yeah if you like to starve!david07003 Thanks this. -
Does Panther run like Landstars Expedited? Which is doing better do you think? I work on Rt.1 and 9* here in Linden, NJ and I see Pathers trucks all of the time. They seem to advertise a lot too in this area.

Ah Routes 1 & 9 in Linden, NJ. I know that road well. Grew up in NJ but haven't been back in years.
