What happens when the fraudsters find a crack in this system?
    Which they will.

    You’re exactly right, they will…

and side note: what happens when Highway is hacked and all the ELD info and Drivers licenses and truck titles are floating around. They say it won’t happen but we had a Casino near us that had a data breach. It was huge.. they were shut down for 14 days.. I bet it cost them over a million dollars or more.

ask highway what protection they have against identity theft, they get all wild about it…

also, when the DOT has to have good reason to have full access to your ELD, why would anyone give their ELD info to Highway??

Have you ever had to talk to someone from there? Good luck understanding a majority of them.

Highway claims they don’t tell the brokers to not load us, in fact I have a guy at highway that I deal with on a weekly basis right now that when a broker emails me that highway said they couldn’t load me, I send it to him. (If they tell me that on the phone, I ask them to email me that response) if not, I just send the guy at Highway an email with their names on it. These brokers will supposedly be getting in trouble for hiding behind Highway. On the flip side of that, we have had some brokers rethink the whole highway route as they have to sign contracts not to go around Highway to book with us one off carriers.. which is also BS..

honestly, it’s almost like Highway is a 3rd party broker.. because why did they asked to be a certificate holder for insurance with their names on it? If they’re just “vetting” us, they shouldn’t need to be named on our insurance.

sorry, that was a lot… last week was rough.. we lost 3 more loads because of highways delays and their other bull…

Like one of you up in this thread, it makes us 1-5 truck operations have a hard time out here.

Because they simply cannot see past the end of their nose! We live in a society that DOES WHAT WE’RE TOLD!
    Covid illustrated this perfectly!

Sometimes it feels like they put us between a rock, and a hard place. But even OOIDA, when we talked to them about Highway, advised us not to give full access to ELD, sitting that DOT isn’t even allowed full Access. We don’t use ELD, so it’s fine for us, but still.
Last eeek, we had a broker tell us that they wouldn’t load us because we didn’t use ELD and we were like that’s fine. See ya

I agree. I love it when I call a broker I've never worked with to set up, and he tells me he uses Highway. Because the setup process literally takes less than a minute once you're in the system. You just do 2 or 3 clicks most of the time, and you're done.

I was having the same problem. If you want to solve your problem quickly, you're going to have to ask for a voluntary inspection. Having inspections also helps your bypass rate. I get pulled into scales now only about 5% of the time.

Photo recognition, or image recognition is not full proof and I used the same Highway.com imaging and because I shaved my bread different from my license it won't recognize me. They need to fix it however, I had to contact an agency at that time who rectified that problem.
