Paying 1099 saves 7.65% of FICA, not having to pay workers' comp insurance or any benefits, cooking the logbooks saves then from hiring more drivers, not doing proper/adequate maintenance saves $.Siinman, thatsright, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this.

Umm because the government gives them grants and special privileges.....they can do it because they're allowed to like I said......JB7 Thanks this.

They dont pay ifta, they dont pay for their income taxes, they abuse stuff like deprecation, they dont pay their unemployment taxes, many dont have legal insurance (they will insure 1 truck and photoshop the details for all the other rigs) and many more. And half these #### trucks arent DoT legal besides. If the IRS comes down they sell all their assets to a new dot number change names and keep on going. That is a HUGE percentage of my income is paying all that. They dont.Siinman, thatsright, Feedman and 2 others Thank this.

Grants are available to everybody. They don’t get special treatments. Rules are same for everyone.

Lol not all of them. Probably half of so called white Volvo gang has less than 50% of their trucks listed under insurance policy. I personally know quite a few Eastern European onesSiinman, thatsright, Trucker61016 and 1 other person Thank this.

If we are not all playing by the same rules, then again full stop. We need a reset and hopefully, this is the first step in that direction. No one should be for undercutting their fellow brother and sister citizens. That goes for us, the companies and the USG.

Umm, that's not true.
2 Days ago conversed with a Regional Flyteam Schneider tanker driver running the Ecolab dedicated account in Martinsburg WV.
I used to work with him back when I worked that account in 2020-2022.
He said he's now at .91 cpm and 15$ per hour to load/unload, getting 2200 miles per week, as a company driver. That's 21-2200$ per week gross.
He was not the lying type person, he's probably got about 4 years into the company.
He's 3 weeks on, one week off. -
That’s nice. Everybody knows that one guy who makes more. I also know a guy who’s a company driver making over 3k a week doing partials on step deck running legal eld. He’s one in thousands tho… I’m talking about majority of drivers tho.KDHCryo Thanks this.
