Ha, I thought about that today, although it was not in a better-than-thou manner though. I was definitely humbled during my training from a learning standpoint as aging leaves your memory in a much different learning state. I definitely worked the hardest in my class.
Anyway, one thing I realized was I should have posted a different picture. Truth is I always hated wearing a suit and that was taken at a wedding. The real me is jeans and a t-shirt and that is what I should have posted. But ####, I do look a lot better in a suit! Haha!

In the current CDL job market, you can be picky -- after you get some experience....along with a clean safety record.
Until then -- you are pretty much an unproven entity to any carriers that might be hiring.
The current CDL job market stinks out loud -- compared to that of 3 - 4 years ago.
Many carriers that hired total rookies then -- now want 3 - 6 months experience, instead. Some want even more than that.
With that said....best of luck.

You can't be with this industry, it is going to change more, it is a carrier's employment market, and new drivers will have a harder time finding work. You can't be too picky and worry about crap that doesn't matter as you gain experience as a new driver. All those negative comments made about companies don't paint a good picture for a company. You have to talk to drivers who are there now, not just read one or two comments.
When you have a few years on the road, you can be more selective, but until then, apply for any job you can get. -

I certainly understand the point you are making. I also take all negative comments with a grain of salt. I personally am not knocking any company, hope that I am not conveying that. What I do see is that there are starter companies and there are career companies. My intuition is that the starter companies maintain their employees for many reasons not associated with getting ahead, although that can be a reason. I also see a small sector of companies that are both. I don’t have to worry about hair follicle tests and have a good driving record. I also show up every day and will give my job my all. Finally, I have the ability to wait it out a bit. Thus, I am going to take a little extra time. If my top choices do not come through I have no issue with trying to get in somewhere else. No matter where I go, I will go there and give it my absolute best.
