you’re braindead. The cameras inside drivers trucks watch every move from picking up a phone call to even sending back a voice to txt when needed for family or even using your phone to find directions if your gps lets you down. It’s Orwellian and doesn’t build trust.

So why Iam I braindead, you can't go anywhere except your on someones camera. If I use my phone I stop the truck. I also don't depend on GPS I know where I am going before movingthe truck, It's called preplanning.

I don't have to pick up the phone to send a text, make a call or read a text message. My blue parrot headset works well with the Google Assistant program on my phone. I click the button on the side of my headset and just give it a command as I keep my eyes on the road.

    *clicks button on headset*
    Google Assistant: Say a command!
Me: Play Sir-Mix-A-Lots "I Like Big Butts" on YouTube Music.

I also make sure to program my stops into the Rand McNally and CoPilot before I start driving. If you have to rely on a cellphone for Navigation, just get a cup holder mount for your device

Sometimes you get into a place where your GPS let you down and you do have to grab your phone to get into satellite mode or even your own GPS to get in satellite mode to see exactly where the heck you’re at so I mean, I don’t know what kind of driving you do, but I used to drive anywhere and everywhere and that was almost always a given when you get into some weird places, especially at night or in some of the tight areas like the five boroughs of New York City, Philadelphia or Chicago

See this is how I know either you’re not a truck driver or you’re a new truck driver because anyone knows that preplanning only goes so far and most of trucking unless you’re driving dedicated or go to almost exact same spots or drop hooks is not going to do #### for you when it comes to situations that arise Out of the blues, especially if your driver who’s going places that are in tight situations or an inside cities like Chicago the Burroughs, many of the big cities in the East Coast or even Seattle for that matter

What type of driving I do? Umm... I guess we can refer to it as "safe driving". Though I am no longer at a company that uses in-facing cameras, I still drive like I'm being watched. I never have any reason to touch my phone as I drive. There are usually three GPSes in my truck already set for the same destination before I start driving: a Rand McNally & Garmin are both mounted to the windshield & the Co-Pilot app is on the company's tablet. To each his own though.

You got me I'm not a truckdriver, I have probably forgotten more loads than you will ever pull. Just because you don't know how to plan your day has no reflection on the rest of us (Thank God).
I plan my day to allow for the inconvenience that happen. to most of there no big deal, just handle them and move on.
I do run alot of the same dedicated to Georgoa Pacific and Petsmart. I choose to only run 11 west. No bearing on planning or not, what I teach new driver is a GPS is a tool only a tool not a absolute.
I'm sorry you were not properly trained and do not know how to handle lifes little problems.

    Speed_Drums and BrothaTrucka513 Thank this.

Yea alright man you’re a wheel holder not a trucker. Because any real trucker knows you can plan all you want and rarely do things go as planned unless you drive like a little girl afraid to burn more hours so you can get a coveted truck parking spot in a truck stop at 4 pm

This thread was made a Sticky to help drivers find out which companies are using cameras. Your bickering about some BS that had nothing to do with the thread subject could make the thread get locked or go away. Take your bickering somewhere else. Preferably on some other forum.
