1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Howdy I'm a recent truck driving school graduate from North Carolina Truck Driver Training School. I'm looking to drive team with my brother, trouble is he has a felony he got back in 2000 when he was 16 and trucking companies don't want to hire him. If anyone can let me know of a company small or large or an o/o or anyone that would put us to work I'de be much abliged. We would be willing to relocate to any state. email is adam72484@gmail.com

NC If you go to some of the sites for the companies looking for Grads they will tell you how old the felony has to be, He may even be able to go to the court and tell them of his "Hardship" and get them to totally remove it, I had a friend who did that here because there was an issue with him finding a job after he told them he had a felony on his record, He showed the court that he was good and clkean and will not get in any more truoble and they espunged it. Hope this helps. TD.

Thanks for your response treydavid he actually has talked to a couple lawyers about getting it expunged but they said since he was convicted with a guilty plea they can't help him, plus North Carolina is very strict on felons. To bad we ever moved to this state of NC from VA, back at the time he got his felony NC was one of three states that charge someone of his age as a felon for the crime he commited. he was a 16 year old boy when this happend young and foolish hanging with the wrong crowd and got a B&E charge. I'm just going to keep looking for a job and hopefully something will turn up. Thanks again.

I hate to even bring this up, but, if you both get desperate enough, Carolina Cargo of Rock Hill, SC will hire felons anytime, if they are still in business. There was talk here a month or so ago they were about to go under. I haven't heard though, could have been just talk.
