Sounds like he's a gluton for punishment. Nobody can force you to stay in a lease, however there may be penalties for breaking it. If your boyfriend is not getting paid why would he stay? get another job and move on with your life

Going into a lease program with any company is asking for trouble. Hope he has learned from his mistakes. I'm guessing the volvo is either white or blue as there aren't many of them.

Six years of researching companies, schools, and trucking in general... And I've learned more on THIS site since I came here than in those entire 6 years, so I have to say that for me, this place was a life saver, possibly in the most literal sense.

Once I actually AM trucking, and am making more money than I am now ($200 a week tops is, uh, barely enough to live off of - Little depressing, but you do what you must, until you can get into what you really want to do, just the way life works for most people.), I'm one of what I feel is many, who are more than willing to donate for billboards, bumper stickers, or whatever else may help spread the word, and help keep truckers informed.

Great job on this Forum, and a huge pat on the back for all those who contribute to it.

I agree with the cross checking, as that's always a good idea, no matter what it is you're thinking of doing with your life, but I think this site is an excellent starting point for those wanting to get to the bottom of things, before dedicating themselves to something they may regret, and be stuck with for years due to contracts.

If i would have had a computer, and had gotten on this website 4 years ago, I would not have gone trucking. I would never have thought how cut throat these big carriers can be, How rude shippers and recievers can be, and how stressful it is out here sometimes, due mostly to dispatchers who control your paycheck. Also the local cops in some small towns are looking to make a buck off drivers. In sussex,wi a driver was fined $3000.00 for driving through the middle of town trying to get to the reciever. There was no low underpasses, or any weight restricted bridges. They just wanted to make some big bucks off of him. I don't know how much longer I will stay in trucking. If you are thinking about OTR trucking, think again, and get yourself a diffrent job.Go drive for a local Beer distributer.

I'll bet trucking schools hate this site ! I was thinking what if someone advertised this site on a big bill board right next door to a truckdriving school how much money they would lose That would be funny or right next to one of those big trucking companys
