Werner told the politicians what they wanted. The politicians made it happen. And then when it was announced Werner said they didn't cause the agreement to be signed, they just donated to those doing the work and will hire the foreign drivers when they get here.

MOST legislation passed by legislatures is delivered to the legislators by the lobbyists making demands on the legislators. This foreign driver program would never have been built unless Werner lawyers gave it to Werner lobbyists and they gave it to the legislator.

 

Wow is Werner that desperate for drivers that they have to look for foreigners outside of the country. All current Werner drivers should consider quitting this useless carrier them they can have all the Kenyan drivers they want screw em.

This is old news. It’s been happening for years in Nebraska. Try going to Walmart in Omaha and you’ll see them everywhere, even picking their feet sitting on the shelf in the bread isle. American greed will ruin trucking way before the foreigners will.

 

That is very true. AI I am sure has its good uses, but it seems a lot of silly stuff is being done with it.

 

If you look at the stock right around when this hit the news, there was a pretty major dip in prices and a TON of buying and now the stock is on its way to being higher then before the news and something like 5 million shares changed hands over a 2 hour period with multiple very large purchases. Figure $2-3 a share.....thats not a small amount of cash.
