Big pot hole here ->>>
Do you know how many have fallen into that pot hole?
Most don’t listen, and end up making the mistake.
Any advice for an American looking to become a Canadian?

You might consider working in the remote mines. Truck drivers/bus driver jobs are constantly posted.

These people posting about how expensive things are in Canada don’t live in border towns. Canadians won’t buy anything in US grocery stores. Y’all getting taken to the cleaners! -
I have yet to come across anybody that's actually checking labels to see if products are American or not. We're all looking for the cheapest product. Money talks.
Phantom Trucker, reeferwrencher and BigHossVolvo Thank this. -

30+ years ago, I considered doing the same; I was working for an American carrier as a Canadian-dedicated driver, lived most of my life near the border, had been to Canada many times before, have a cousin in Toronto and Quebecois ancestry. BUT, what I found was that as a person trying to emigrate, the places where they were willing to hire me and where they NEEDED truck drivers were like Timmins, North Bay, Royn-Noranda, La Tuque, and for drivers hauling on the Hydro project roads up in Northern Quebec. Also drivers were needed out of Churchill, Manitoba to drive all over the North West Territories and Yukon.
Phantom Trucker Thanks this.
