Vegas called overpriced as Strip targets wealthy travelers rather average vacationers

Laughlin was a lot nicer in the late 70's-early 80's. No better than Vegas now.

 

Saw a video where the guy explained all of the extra fees and surcharges the casinos and restaurants are adding to the bills. It raises the bills by 25% to 50% and you don't find out until you check out.

 

Laughlin has truck parking. So it wins IMHO

 

Was in Laughlin a few weeks ago. $9 beers at a crappy hotel isn’t my thing.

also staying away from the strip as much as possible .

 

I decided to check Expedia to for around Christmas time for a short trip.$967 CAD plus taxes at The Venetian Casino for 3 nights seems alright consider we tried goiing before in 2023 and it cost more. Obviously, that doesn't included food, drinks, shows, the fight or even a rental. But over the last 5 years vacations seems to be averaging $4500 to $7k for a family of 3 to 5. Haven't been to Vegas for 7 years and back then a burger on the strip cost $8.75 Vegas has never been cheap.
