I'm surprised everyone is saying there's plenty of parking in Deming. I stopped at the Petro on a Friday night Bobtail and couldn't find 1 spot. There were at least 50 trucks parked out front in the dirt areas. Because I was Bobtail, I squeezed in. If I had a trailer I would have had to get back on the I10 and keep going West.

5R has more parking than the Petro and I never saw it full when I was running out there.

They interviewed someone on that hack xm channel , " road dog trucking, he was promoting the exact same thing touring the security especially for ladies. But then he was talking about $50-$100 a day. I thought how drivers don't even like paying 20 bucks.

Biggest issue with smaller cities is that locals park their junk at truck stops for the weekend or abandoned lots / mall parking lots. OTR drivers usually avoid paid parking for their 10. Only way I’ll pay for parking as OTR company driver is if I’m squeezing every minute of my logbook and am in a a bad area for parking.
Do your research wisely before making such big investment in such a greedy industry.

    I hear ya.
The core concept here is security and safety for your down time, in a comfortable location, so you can rest without unnecessary stress about the safety of your rig and the security of your charge.
    Actually rest.
Nobody can open your trailer because you’re backed up to a contraption that prevents it.
The yard is fenced and patrolled… actively…
I get that it’s not for everybody, and there’s obnoxious price gouging on us drivers everywhere.
The objective is serving drivers, meeting or exceeding their needs, and offering a solution that we both can win with.
You get a great night sleep, good food in your belly, and no worries about your truck and cargo.
I make a couple bucks to provide that.
Not a mint by any stretch, but a reasonable margin for my endeavors and investment.
My math says the place will comfortably park 50 to 55 trucks, with ample dispersion between to avoid those dreaded dummies that can’t back or forget they have a trailer and rip off the next truck’s front end.
Hot showers, good hot food, clean and appealing grounds and facilities, fuel across the street, and a little peace in a world of chaos.

With that added security, would that include providing the driver/company camera footage if someone did a hit and run? That would be my other main concern there.
