Want to post this for drivers information on Python Freight Systems-Romeoville-Westmont, Illinois and Lake Station, Indiana-all the same company.

Posting here not saying they are bad, but giving my experience with them so other drivers know about them and can make their own decision.

They are Serbian owned and have 7 trucks and have rented spaces at truck lot in Romeoville, Il.
They will take $1000 escrow and have many, many rules and policies. If you like extreme micro-management and beyond, then this is the place for you. Every night I had to take an Aspirin to relive the stress to go to sleep.

Trucks are set at 68-69 mph and are cut back to the extreme with no real pulling power and engine shut off after 2 minutes. The APU in the truck I had did not put out any heat so it was cold at night up north. They do provide all necessities for the driver in the truck such as vests, straps. cleaning supplies etc.

The dispatcher was polite and nice whom I think was in Romeoville, but the owners seemed to be wolves in sheep's clothing telling you everything to do, how, when and where. Extreme stress for me from the time I woke up to the end of day. Total stress all the time and blamed for everything even if not your fault. No tolerance on anything at all and they come down like a sledgehammer on a fly should you forget to do anything they demand.

You must log as they say-no tolerance. You must obey every command the husband and wife owners say or they come down like a sledgehammer on a fly. You make NO decisions on your own and they monitor every move you make all day long. You have to download 3 applications on your phone which they use.
You can only drive when they authorize it after loading. You must take photos of secured load, seal, and BOL then send to them which they send to broker and then wait until broker sends ok back to them, then on to you to get the authorization to start driving. Should you forget any of these like I once did, they come down like a sledgehammer on a fly and threaten you saying time and time again you are no following instructions even when you tell them you simply forgot. This is not good enough for them and they may tell you that you are not going to get away with this, or, you caused a mess or this 'will not fly' with their company. Horrible stressful situations all day long just waiting for their another of many complaints all day. It was like they would look for, or make-up a complaint all day long just for something to belittle you about when there was nothing. I could not understand their childish manners.

You have to send a message or call them for fuel and they will tell you where and how much fuel to put on. You cannot call or answer phone while driving or you get a phone violation which they have connected to their application. They told me to stay off the small roads even though it was the best route.

They will talk to you like you are a child and don't know what to do and belittle you with no appreciation for what you do and show NO respect to you. You are also given some unrealistic delivery times and they have a fit over almost everything if it not to their liking.

It was the most stressful driving position I had in 33 years of driving. The wife would threaten you verbally with all kinds of accusations and keep trying to over-talk you in almost all conversations, for which most were complaints from her or her husband and for which most decent companies would not even think was any kind of problem. The first morning of driving for them, I got a message saying "you are not following instructions and this will not fly". (I was going to do PTI while fueling, not before I started driving.)

They do tell you DOT rules which are not actual laws so can they keep their scores well. It cuts into many hours and ads on-duty time which could be off duty. You must do PTI before driving after your 10 hour break and not while you are fueling or being loaded or unloading. This is a MUST! It cannot be less then 15 minutes or else they come down like a sledgehammer on a fly! First thing every morning they review your previous logging and LORD help you if you made and error.

The day before I was to deliver in Florence, Ky, the wife called and again led to a fiery complaint for which I cannot remember why as they were so often. She was almost screaming over the phone and I just said 'I have had enough' and to get me a load back to Chicago when I am empty. She told me " There will be no load your you when you are empty and you are to drive back to Chicago empty with no pay". I told her that was fine with me and that is what I will do.

After I was empty I started out of Kentucky and into Indiana and she rang the phone so I had to pull over and answer. She asked where I was going and I told her as per our agreement-back to Chicago. She lied again and said " I told you we would get you a load here-not true at all. She yelled at me saying ' I did not authorize you to dive". She said you must wait for a load and I told her I would drive back empty or leave the truck here for them to come get. I told her exactly what she stated yesterday and she lied about it again. Anyhow, I was told to finally drive empty to Chicago and park it at a truck stop which they designated.

When I got there I was told to take photos of the truck and trailer for which I did and sent to her. She sent a message with photos of insect spatter saying, " I hope these are not scratches and you took poor photos. (drivers pay for any scratches to truck or trailer).

    Never replied back to her.

Never in my life have I experience such mico-management and verbal abuse from a trucking company like I did with them.

Now, YOU decide if they are a good, ok or a bad company.

You're posting here not saying they are bad, but that lengthy write up suggests you had a rough experience. With 33 years experience, how'd you find these guys? My curiosity looms......

Yes, that is why I posted it here. I did not find them-they found me and there were no reviews before I went there. It was rough and I also found out later that the previous driver did not stay long in the truck I drove. Thank you.

As stated, there were no reviews about this company before I went there. I have clear records in all ways/never an accident or damage. Simply, when you get older, many companies do not want to hire you. Also, I had many offers from large carriers and others who did not pay well. Now, before you ask-I do not have to drive anymore but found doing nothing just ads to age. I like driving, but not with a company like this. I only put up with them for 10 days. Thank you for not being nasty in your replies.

They sure kill a lot of fly's around there.....

So they found you? How did that happen? Random call to your phone? Vague EMail? Recruiter in a truckstop? "Care to elaborate?"
