Just did a search of my local area using truck parking club.
Haha what a joke found a place 3 miles from my house. Dirt lot, no fence,lights, rest rooms or dumpsters. But they're only are a 5 minute walk to restaurant or dunking donuts.
They want $40 per day, $125 per week and $300 a month.
When I parked there a few years back they only offered $150 a month. Truck stop has restaurant, bathrooms, showers, etc. Other restaurants, and sports bar in walking distance
By comparison the truckstop close by is free out back on the dirt, or $10 to park on pavement $150 a month

 

The people that annoy me are the ones that think they own the #### place, leaving it parked there while they go home for days. Leaving their #### car parked in a big truck spot so nobody else can use it. If you’re out at some country joint and they say you can do that, fine, but you get some joints where that ish is out of pocket to the point where a guy that’s actually out on the road and needs a place to park for ONE night can hardly find one because all the locals and home timers are bogarting them. Like I know for a fact that Loves doesn’t approve of such behavior but you should see that clown show in Zion, IL on 94. That’s the reason the TA across the street is paid only. Trying to keep the squatters and mooch-dockers out of there would be a full time job if it wasn’t.

 

the aspartame diet sodas are pretty gross tasting and that stuff is linked to dementia I hear. Better off just eating the sugar or HFCS as long as you aren’t severely type II diabetic and don’t overdo it.

It’s really the caffeine kick that gets you hooked on soda pop. People jokingly acknowledge this all the time by making the wise crack about decaf: “what’s the point?” I don’t crave coffee too often now because I don’t get a caffeine high drinking decaf. Funny how that works. I don’t often crave Sprite or Orange Crush either for the same reason, but that Cherry Dr Pepper makes a boring stretch of highway a little more fun

 

Anything to make the road to go by better

 

300 per month is laughable

 

That's what I pay here in Vegas for my truck and reefer.
