Yeah, they need to start confiscating all equipment and cargo hauled by non-US citizens that would fix it quickly. Send all the equipment to Ritchie Brothers, and all non-citizens to gitmo, Rwanda, or Ukraine.

Lots of good news in that article. Going after foreign ELD manipulation is a great idea! This administration is doing an awesome job targeting real problem areas in trucking. This is the sort of seismic shift similar to when it was unthinkable back in 2017 to impose trade restrictions and tariffs on China. People thought that was insane but then the following administration carried on with the exact same policies. Once someone breaks the mold everyone falls into step. These policies likely continue into a new, different administration.

 

Yep, You should see everything that is going on in X/Twitter freight people. Lots and lots of great stuff happening.

 

I haven't seen any new actions taken against ELD manipulation. ELDs have been getting disqualified at about the same rates since 2019.

And the "following administration" didn't simply carry on with the exact same policies. They complied with the previous administrations agreement and attempted several times to negotiate back to where things were in 2017.

 

Wrong, the next administration kept his tariffs in place and imposed more of their own. There was never an effort to go back to the way things were before 2017 because they concluded it was effective policy.
