That days worth of work turns into 3 days to get back, you get 2k for going to Fargo, nothing out of there then if your lucky $1.75 mile out of Minneapolis, to get back to Chicago, you've now covered 1600 or so miles for around $3000 if you are lucky, if I'm not paid $4 mile to go to Fargo, I'm not going otherwise your losing money.

It's 1300 miles round-trip. The rate from Minneapolis to Chicago is around $1200.
    $3200 for 1300 miles, $2.46 cpm , 2 days of work, $1600 per day.

Yes I've watched a few YouTube video's on the topic with Oklahoma State Govenor going to war on CDL drivers entering the state using so called NY issued licenses without even a proper name on the drivers licence. The following story quotes "New York DMV didn't issue 'no name given' commercial driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, "no name given" mention on a commercial driver's license is an indication that its holder only has one name, not that the person is undocumented. In the fall of 2025, a rumor began to spread online that the state of New York was issuing "no name given" commercial driver's licenses. The claim began to circulate after Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, a Republican, posted a photograph of such a license on social media and accused New York State of handing these out to "illegal immigrants"

Stop listening to the professional commentating truck drivers on X and YouTube.

in order for rates to actually increase, there has to be a massive revocation of all non-domicile and provisional CDLs nationally and Duffy will not do that, even though he has the power to do so.

even then, in congress there is a bill in committee that will protect non-domicile CDL holders - HR5688

they need to be eliminated altogether, and existing ones be invalid.

How far into the backwoods of the internet did you go to find this piece of #### article? This isn't reporting news at all. If anything, the article exposed the very thing many of you complain about.....drivers hauling cheap freight. The author literally just said he does Fargo to Chicago for 1200. Now its 1800. While 1800 is an improvement, let's not act like he's setting the world on fire here. It's nearing the holidays, so yes there will be an uptick in the spot market.

"Bill Skinner, a trucking expert, warned on X: “Almost 1/3 of our nation’s freight is hauled by non-citizen drivers. That’s not just a safety issue — it’s a national security risk.” "

It was reported recently that there are 200,000 or so drivers out of 3 to 5 million drivers, that makes up 1 to 3 percent of the industry. So tell me, how does this 1 to 3 percent of mostly one truck operations have the ability to haul ⅓ of America's freight? Folks should check the credibility of these sources and use a little bit of thought when these articles come out. You can get rid of every single foreigner, and we will still have the exact same problems of too many trucks in the spot market. The foreigners are not the reason for the that, or any other problems the United States has. Social media and the internet is tremendous at painting that narrative though.

Lol the irony...... is Ike not considered a "professional commentating trucker?" I fail to see where he's any different than the fool who wrote the article at the top of this thread.....
