The old advertisment said "you're never late with a V8" they were a little heavier best I remember.

The weight was a big part of what got them in the end

The other part is the fuel mileage

You’ll never believe this but they really were not as bad as everyone believes. Now I’m not saying they got good mileage but they were not the 3mpg pigs everyone thinks

    Simple truth as yall know
Fuel mileage is directly related to the drivers right foot and who’s paying the bills

Yes they are very stout, will take off fasteners that I used to have to get my 3/4 air impact for! Only two bad things are they are #### heavy and the batteries are expensive! I have the one with the Forge battery. Everywhere I go I take my pistol and my Milwaukee impact and hope I don't have to use either one!

The 1693TA was a thirsty ride if you weren’t careful. Pulling a pretty heavy cow mobile I generally averaged about 3.75mpg.

Running with a wagon loaded with hay, and not in as big of a hurry I could get 4+.

Gotta say, I don’t think anything sounded better than that ol Clatterpillar.
