I’m delivering a load in Bozeman currently, and just got assigned a load in Barretts, about two hours west of here. I know I can come back this way on I-90 to I-25 and south to roads I’m familiar with. Google Maps is suggesting saving an hour by driving down on I-15 to US 26/US 89/US 191 to Rock Springs and east on I-80 to I-25.
Is that a decent stretch of highway?
Routing advice needed: Barretts, Montana to Dallas, Texas

It’s scenic and a fairly easy drive. I’d just run south on 15 to Hwy 30. That will dump you out on 80 just west of Little America.
Bean Jr., tscottme, nextgentrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
It is a beautiful drive, and what I'd call good runnin. I take it pretty often, but if you don't like the twisties do as @Long FLD suggested.
Not much shoulder through much of it either, though quite a few pull offstscottme, nextgentrucker and tarmadilo Thank this. -
Yeah, that's how I ran it.

Run it. Some 2 lane, but good roads. Just make sure you keep fuel on, some of those stretches are not fuel friendly. Otherwise you’ll be fine.

After Cheyenne I take 80 east to Joulesburg and take 385 south to Lamar,Colorado, then 287 south to Ft Worth.Miss all the Denver traffic.287 or 83 is usaully better if it's snowing around Denver,if you are running north or south.

Another driver and I left Wheatland at the same time, heading to Ft Polk.I took 70 E to Salinas and 35 south,he went south on 287 from Lamar through DFW,he beat me there by 1 hour.
tarmadilo Thanks this. -
Well, I did it and I’m grateful for the advice because it was a seriously beautiful drive and as an added benefit there was hardly any traffic. I’m parked for the night in Rawlins now.
Big Road Skateboard Thanks this.
