    I run Stihl brand bar and chain oil on the fifth wheel plates. Nice and tacky, non synthetic in orange bottle. Have used it for many moons. A little goes a long way..

    They’re called cold weather tops.
    You shut the slide plates on the breather top to restrict how much air gets pulled from outside and then the majority of the air gets pulled through the upper tubes that are sucking warm(er) air from under the hood.
    It is for extremely cold temperatures.

    is there an encasement the breather intake connects to on top of engine ? Or just under the hood .
