Sounds like it’s time to get out of there. I worked at Pride Transport and I’ll saw their payroll department is flawless.TurkeyCreekJackJohnson Thanks this.

I'm going to quote Metallica with trucker references. "If you came here looking for sympathy and butterflies, this ain't your career." No one took it easy on me when I posted about my experience in 2015. As stated above, I was the screw up when I drove here. Yes, if there were time travel, I'd do it again with a better attitude. I was younger and immature then. If I was to go with the current attitude and knowledge I have for the job now, I'd probably go Alliance out of the gate then save up and buy a truck so I could possibly go to any other company and try for a dedicated Texas run. I'm out now for personal and family reasons. But how I wish we could figure out time travel so I can experience the fun I had with a more mature mindset.

Buddy, I'm sure everyone would like another crack at life with a time machine. If God himself came down and offered me two choices: 1-Elon Musk's wealth, or 2-Going back to being 1 year old (retaining everything I've seen and learned), I'll take the do-over without thinking twice.Voodoo Pyg Thanks this.

Option 2 for me as well.
If you chose Option 1 just remember, when you die ,you can’t take it with you!!
Plus the child support payments that whack job has!!

This is always my default response. People say I'm stupid but it isn't like I would use it to alter anything else.
This! This right here. Why have it handed to you when you're given the opportunities to have the skills to earn it?mjd4277 Thanks this. -
You may have already moved on but I wanted to touch on Point #3 of your post. I did this as a company driver. When I drove for SRT, I had a manager that I loved like a brother. I can remember one instance where they sent me a messed up load plan when I was in TN. I looked at it and knew it wouldn't have worked due to my HOS. So I called the warehouse and got ahold of a very pleasant lady and explained my situation. Her response was, "I have an opening at 13:30hrs. If you can be here by then or even before, I'll be more than happy to load you." I was there 13:15hrs and out of the door by the 13:30hrs deadline. I called up my DM and told him what happened. He was disappointed at first until I told him exactly what transpired with my HOS. He then explained it to the XPO Account Manager whom agreed with what I'd done. To tell you how close and "in" I was with the management is another story in itself and I'd be glad to share it with you if you're interested. It's like you've stated, DMs love drivers who aren't afraid to take initiative. They outright glorify it.
That same attitude and "go-get-it" motivation is what I kept when I took a crack at the I/C side of things. I'd call warehouses where I was going and see if they'd take me early. There were times I was a mile away and the worst thing they could do was say "no". I never lied to my dispatchers and if I could see where something just wasn't going to work, I'd notify them and repower if I had to. I'm only gone because a lot of them liked to push and you just weren't going to cuss me out or mess with my paycheck. Like I said before, if time travel were a thing, I'd go to Stevens again in a heartbeat with a better attitude than the one I presented in 2015. A Pyg can dream though.
