This is the reason why I quit Western Express after a year and a half. IMG_0058.JPG
This trailer was loaded and was supposed to go to Virginia but I refused the load because the trailer had no license plate. Doing something like this may fly in Tennessee but it sure as hell doesn't fly in Virginia and it definitely doesn't fly in Ohio-which was where this trailer was located(outside of Columbus,no less). I got fed up with their trailer/equipment issues and I wasn't going to jeopardize my license or record for them any further.

I hear you, brother. How long ago did you leave and where did you go?

Good to hear that. I'll be jumping on a local job soon.

Will they hire me with a physical control violation 6 months ago but no points on the MVR in the past 5 years?

Yes was about to post when I read your post, exacty who bothers to read all the fine print? or at least pay someone or get someone else to go over it before signing the contract. The only way out for you is if in the "fine print" there was a cooling off period, it looks like you never went out on the road, perhaps if all they were asking was for the hotel expenses, and any food they paid for, my question was why did they call you in before checking that you actually qualified? Note that a court of law would honour any contract that you signed willfully unless you were like under age or that you were not in a good mental state at the time. Best go over that contract and read it properly to understand what your legal rights are hopefully there will be a legal way out for you. Where you could be in trouble is if the "debt collector" does decide to take the case to court, however they'd have to consider if it was winnable and what would be the end result, hopefully both of you could come to some conclusion. As advised I would seek legal advice on the matter and not offer to pay unless you understand the consequences. However there is nothing wrong with speaking to the debt collectors after all they are human, you may be able to come up with some agreement, but get it in writing and don't sign anything until you read the terms.
