I mean......he violated the law. On other topics on this forum, that's been the cop out. Now sympathy is expected for this guy, but others who have committed other non violent crimes should get the book thrown at them. Now I'll sit back and watch the hypocrisy unfold on this thread.

So we should release/pardon/expunge all the marijuana convictions?

This dude was arrested in 2018 and pled out. If I recall correctly, even after legal expenses he's still money ahead, so cry me a river.

@drvrtech77 dm'd me this response "You’re the one that goes around constantly getting threads lockdown because it doesn’t Coincide with your idiotic beliefs… So go cry somewhere else you worthless piece of trash… And #### your feelings they don’t matter either"

I don't insult people. I simply state my own beliefs and opinions, I'm sorry that doing so offends you.

Isn't this a forum to relay information and help others out? This seems like a topic for a political forum.

Have you ever read Letter From Birmingham Jail? In it, Dr. King wrote "One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws."

The only thing more offensive to justice than the enactment and enforcement of unjust laws is the imposition of unjustly harsh penalties for violating said laws.

Right....just so long as that mindframe remains consistent, even if it may not align with one's personal views.

There are unjust laws, like a law that requires a person to be employed and any person that cannot prove employment is subject to incarceration in a work camp. On it's face, such a law would be problematic. When it is applied to only a small subset of the populace it definitely crosses the line to unjust.

"An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. To put it in the terms of St. Thomas Aquinas, an unjust law is a human law that is not rooted in eternal and natural law. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust."

What about the EPA regulation degrades human personality?

"Let us turn to a more concrete example of just and unjust laws. An unjust law is a code that a majority inflicts on a minority that is not binding on itself. This is difference made legal. On the other hand, a just law is a code that a majority compels a minority to follow, and that it is willing to follow itself. This is sameness made legal."

Are the megas exempt from the EPA regulation? Some government entities are/were, but to my knowledge there were definite time frames to the exemptions. Has there been a disparate application of the law based on racial or religious basis?

"An unjust law is a code inflicted upon a minority which that minority had no part in enacting or creating because it did not have the unhampered right to vote"

Were any individuals illicitly or unjustly prevented from voting for the various representatives that are responsible for this regulation?

On what basis are you claiming that this law/regulation is unjust?

Nobody gets to vote on regulations, which is one of the reasons why they are categorically unjust. The CFR should be repealed in its entirety, and the portions that are both explicitly authorized in the Constitution & are unavoidably necessary for the federal government to carry out it's Constitutionally-mandated duties should be replaced by additions or amendments to federal law (USC) approved by both houses of Congress and signed by the President.

If you had paid more attention to my previous post you would have noticed where I mentioned that it is in an example of government overreach. Not only is it an example of government overreach but it is one that directly imposes an undue burden upon diesel owners, and to add insult to injury it allows them no means to recoup the costs of compliance. And to make matters even worse, the punishment is disproportionately harsh.
