I get out of the truck as often as I can. You don’t want to be one of those guys that complain about the job, complain about ‘living in a truck,’ but never getting out of the truck when there are opportunities.

Lathe I traded for some months back……
-
I don't know anything about lathes, but that sure looks like fun. To be able to make oddball stuff on your own would be handy as can be.1951 ford, cke, JolliRoger and 8 others Thank this.

I've had one in the shop for years (ok, decades). I use it a lot, and everyone I know "hey, can you do this on your lathe...".
When I moved over here I didn't have it running (I had 3 phase in the old shop) seemed all the time "arrrrgh, if the lathe was running I could just turn this"1951 ford, cke, JolliRoger and 10 others Thank this. -
Most of my getting out of the truck includes either walking or getting outside, I'll fully admit I don't do enough of it, I am on the same #### run day after day and it gets old, I have went to Theodore Roosevelt national Park this year and hiked a ton there on a Bismarck and did the Montana trip about a month ago, but don't get to do much that I would like to do on this runcke, broke down plumber, Gatordude and 7 others Thank this.

Came with 3 different size chucks plus the chuck already on the lathe, pallet of different jaws, and 2 different steady rest which is in the pallet too….
-
Have it sit in the corner for the next 20 years then one day you need a 1/4" pin at 2 in the morning and all you got is a chunk of 1/2" bar. Purchase instantly justified.1951 ford, cke, JolliRoger and 14 others Thank this.

I think my friend may have got a good deal, we'll see it's on it's way here this morning from Montana on the lowboy.

Farmer. He's going to put the converter under the belly dump in the picture and pull it around with his tractor. Haha you just made the same face I did!
It'll be a good rig here pulling the little cross gate belly.cke, CAXPT, broke down plumber and 8 others Thank this.
