The first huge Bucees ever opened is 17 miles north of my hometown and it's a big cluster....every weekend and it's especially crazy during a major holiday. I avoid it as much as I can.hotrod1653, navypoppop, Trucker61016 and 2 others Thank this.

Personally i could care less. I havent fueled at the big 3 in over 6 months now since their fuel is usually $0.50-1.25 a gallon more expensive even WITH their stupid discounts then places like quick trip kwic star stuckies sinclare marathon sheetz ect and half of those use secondary fuel cards like mudflap that can make them as much as $1.80 a gallon cheaper then the big 3. Buckees is just another tourist trap using the whole no trucks thing to garner attention. And everyone demanding to be there is beyond annoying in my eyes. Your playing into their brand.
All i care about is cheap fuel, the basics, a shower and a place to park. Not some grand "experince". Let me grab the exact same packaged crap as every other #### store, let me get a shower to destank myself, and a place to park. Good enough. Anything beyond that is a bonus unless you bake the cost into my fuel. If i want excitement ill grab my legs or an uber on my 34 and go explore.
besides most truck drivers are #### pigs. I literally cant find a truckstop anymore not covered in trash fecees piss and more and more often entire rejected pallets of trash just shoved out the back. A lot of businesses jist dont want to deal with it. Hell remimber that brand new loves that just opened by KC? They were open less then an hour and some moron managed to destroy the cat scale sign and the first week the back lot was already covered in trash. Thats why most people fight truckstops openong near them and why so many folks dont WANT trucks anywhere near themBoostedTeg, Still undecided, LOTSO and 3 others Thank this. -
The new Fat Dogs opened in Grand Island over the summer. The fence along the west side is already leaning because the door dummies back all the way in until their tires touch the curb no matter what the back of their trailer is touching. I stopped there on Friday and they have posts set out front for a fence along the highway frontage and 3 of the posts were already leaning from being hit and the fence isn’t even finished yet.LOTSO, Texasgordo, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this.

I saw a TMC trainee back his flatbed trailer into the guy behind him at one of those Kwik Trips with the diagonal parking arrangements. This place had a particularly stupid layout in the middle with no buffer zone that practically begged for this to happen but it was still funny as hell. He gets out and puts both of his hands on his head in the classic "Oh God I'm an Idiot!" fashion. The driver's side mirror was the one he apparently wasn't watching. Sometimes I wonder who designs some of these parking lots though. Narrow aisles. Blindsides. Stuff too close behind the spot to hit. Nowadays I don't even bother with spots that look too hard to get into. I'll go find a cool guy parking spot where hopefully nobody has to park next to me.

I get why some businesses ban us drivers, I don’t make a big whining complaint about it. One of my areas of expertise (if you will) in this industry is my ability to find parking. It’s something I work on and I have my spots picked out over the years along most any route that will assure I can stop when I need to find parking. But I will say this. I do make a mental note of businesses that look down on us as truckers in general. The “bring me my stuff and then get the hell out” type of businesses. And I won’t do business with them personally. I won’t patronize those places even on my own time , that’s how I deal with it. So no, I have never been in a Buccees, and I probably never will. It’s their choice not to like us and it’s my choice not to shop there. Pretty simple concept.

Good post.
Even though I’m a company driver there are some places that are on our s*** list because of past experiences our company had with certain shippers/receivers.
There’s a few C&S and Albertsons’s warehouses that I would like to see burn down to the ground for their rudeness.
I’d be content watching an EF-5 tornado wipe them off the face of the earth!northstarfire0693 and navypoppop Thank this. -
I haven’t pulled a refer in 25 years but, to this day I won’t step foot in a Albertsons grocery store.northstarfire0693 and mjd4277 Thank this.
