I am just amazed, the amount of force that would have to be applied to rip that axle out like that.

Makes me wonder if something happened internally in the axle going around the corner causing it to lock up or something?

He was probably just going way too fast, but still, just how do you apply that much force?

Weight was probably too heavy for the drives would be my guess.
Like the wrecker driver said maybe the driveshaft ended up going into the sewer!

How in the heck do you get behind the wheel of this day cab, pull a loaded chassis supposedly at yard speed, and manage to split the drive tandems in seconds?

    :help: :hello2: :happy11: :happy2:

The container started tipping as he went around the corner too fast, it made contact with the top of the drive tires which caused a bind, and the force of that bind combined with forward momentum ripped the trailing arms off the frame. The driveshaft didn't break it just came apart at the slip spline which is what you would expect. Just my uneducated speculative guess.

TBH it makes me wonder if their shop had been working on that rear suspension and didn't tighten the bolts or something?

Because it looks as though the bolts/pins in the front of the suspension arms are just missing.

    Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
