Wise choice. Nothing wrong with Freymiller. Plenty wrong with refer. Staying away from that night/day, night/day, life. Crazy middle of the night deliveries/pickups at cold storage. I could say a ton. I lived basically overtired the entire time. I did a few Swift loads through another company. Pulled Swift trailers then. I asked my dispatcher why Swift? He said they paid decent and were easy to work with. I have to say yes, easy to work with.
If you haven't gotten connected with Swift yet. A couple thoughts...
Might check Craigslist. I got my three best jobs from there. Last one still says he'll take me back anytime. Loved that job. Loved working for him.
Pilot Fuel hauling is good. They always seem to be hiring. Must have people in Alb. Home everyday. Must be other fuel hauling in Alb.
Might try Danny Herman Trucking? I'm sure I'm not confused here. They got alot of coast to coast runs across the south. So hire from Alb? Pay ain't the greatest. Plenty of miles all the time.
Don't worry about being labeled a job hopper in trucking. They're used to it. They're hoping they will be the one you'll stay with. I was careful and stayed with the first one for a year. Always told employers I put up with a bunch just to show I'm stable with one year at same company.
Heck....My last best job, I'm sure many didn't want. Many couldn't qualify for Hazmat. Many couldn't qualify for the years of experience required. But it was perfect for me. If you're wondering about my validity. Not hard to track back on my posts about what happened. I'm on Social Security Disability now. I may do a new post warning guys about pushing too hard and physical/medical downfall.
