And now, the American Angus Association is taking Bezos Earth Fund money to study genetics, in an attempt to reduce cow farts.
There's a lot of smaller cattlemen and women, just in my area, that are beyond pissed at the AAA for essentially selling out to a special interest group.

Most "representative groups" only "represent" a segment; a few members with divergent ideas from the actual. Get the wampum for it. They can be president or spokesman and ID as an influencer...

I was referring to grading. In my time with Bryan Bros I doubt if I ever saw over 10 hindquarters rolled USDA PRIME, in the plant cooler or being loaded. Was told the need for a few prime to fill occasional orders was the reason for hauling the whoppers out of Omaha... 20 or 25 head made a load of them.
Had feet and hoofs the size of a water bucket, do not get stepped on..

recall the old man having toothpicks hanging in the headliner of the ‘ol corn-binder cab over. as a young buck, I was told to keep my grubby d i c k handlers off of those toothpicks. At the time (mid 70s), I was unaware of why he was so protective of me and those picks, took me until I was about 12-13 to put 2 & 2 together. but the old man would clock off the miles like nobody’s business and he would ALWAYS make his appt. he left us in 2003, would love to have him here to listen to his stories about his out-law trucking days.

I'd say too for any folks aint been around hogs , never ever turn yore back on a boar or a sow with little ones . That boar can be your bestest buddy but dont trust him especially if there's a sow in heat .

Or automated transmissions, or super singles, or e-logs, or cameras, or a bunch of nanny tech "safety systems" that makes new trucks a chore to drive.
