Looking for an exhaust manifold for a pre EGR 12.7 Detroit. No way I will pay $1500 for a name and some special "coating". Wanting to hear from those who have found a decent aftermarket one and what brand it was. I know there is a lot of cheap junk out there also. I currently have a BW S410SX turbo on it.
Thanks in advance.

How much is the original one?
-
Center section is $349.24, one end is $136, other end is $134, and bolts are $16.50 a piece or $198 for the set. So looking at $820 for oem. Just my center section is broke but I am leery of trying to use new center section with existing end pieces. Thoughts?

Then enjoy exhaust leaks and cracking manifolds. Any OE style aftermarket is junk, and the OE replacements from the OEM are junk.Feedman and rollin coal Thank this.

What brand(s) do you have personal experience with that don't crack and hold up?

Any of the aftermarket ones with the ISX style slip joints are superior to leak prone OEM manifolds. None of them are cheap. Had a PDI manifold on my and CAT it never leaked the 700k+ miles it was on there. The exterior coating seemed like snake oil it just flaked off over time.

Full Tilt. But you ain't buying one for $1500

I have two trucks with 550hp tuned 12.7, both still have original manifolds, so I was thinking just to go with OEM again when the time comes for replacement
-
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same route. My current oem manifold made it to 752,000 before cracking.

OEM 2020's Manifolds aren't the same as 90's OEM. I don’t care which way you go, but just so you know.
3rd time you replace it you'll do something different
