Clerical issues are not safety issues that require emergency rule making or the impoundment of trucks.

"No name given" doesn't mean "no name", it means the person's name is only one word. SE Asia, Polonesia, and some African cultures are the main sources of single names. To the best of my recollection, it works a lot like Irish/Scandinavian/Russian hereditary names. Pat McBride is the son of Bride, Pat's son would be Dan McPat, Dan's son would by Liam McDan, etc. The difference is it's all contained in one word. Usually people will add a surname after the immigration process. Why after? Because all the immigration paperwork must match the birth certificate, visa application, etc. Every single Somali immigrant has a birthday of January 1 because they don't have birth dates listed. It's all perfectly above board but often is used as 'evidence of fraud'.

Clerical issues will sure as #### put you out of service. And could get your truck impounded. So the same should be expected from the government. Good for the goose, good for the gander

I can’t get a driver hired without one. Soooo. Are carriers actually reporting these drivers to the ins company? If not then that is illegal

How many of these types of carriers actually have all of their vehicles listed on their insurance? How many set their radius at 150 miles and run all 48 states?

“No Name given” is actually a legit thing and quite common. Cher is one example..she doesn’t have a last name.

Different cultures around the world don’t have or use last names and it’s marked that way purposely on their licenses.

    My wife has 5 names,lol

Sure she does, she just doesn't need to use it because every one knows who you're talking about .
