Can anyone give me some idea of how winters are at Holland?
Like what are the normal customer locations we normally deliver to?
I really hate chaining but will throw chains if I have to I’ve gotten some conflicting info that Holland requires chaining and that they don’t lol

just trying to get an idea here for the winter. Thank you!

Holland does not force chain. They prefer to be safe. Call Karla Monday in safety she will confirm.

    WesternDieselDave and Bumper Thank this.

So….. Holland does not require chaining up. They look at it as a driver choice. You will be on I-80 quite a bit, but will also see the southern routes as well.

IF you decide to chain and mess up, it’s on you, if you don’t want to chain and wait it out they’re okay with that too. I only chained a few times, and those were yo get out of a situation I got caught in and to get out of a parking spot. Aside from that, winters were easy peezy there.

Better to be safe then sorry. Leave them chains in the bag. Trip planning and weather ability is on the driver.

Not yet, I will be heading out 12/5. I am selling my home and wanted to make sure everything was good before I left.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

If anyone at holland currently could tell me how the fridge setup is? I am told fridge/freezer dorm style but that doesn’t give me much info. I have meds “diabetes” that need to be chilled and one set that must be frozen, are they like two separate compartments like a traditional fridge setup or those crappy built all in one kinda boxes.

    Knucklehead Thanks this.

So if anyone knows, they got me a rental car but I don’t see anything about lodging? Am I expected to also pay for all my lodging to orientation? Or do they get me an EFS check when I head out? It’s a 3 day drive so I’m trying to figure this out ahead of time.

also do we pay for the gas too for the rental??? lol I got like NO INFORMATION in regards to this process

edit: got my update from my recruiter. I’m all good now.

Sorry for blowing up the feed here but if anyone knows this question. I’d love feedback.
When we go home, are we expected to bring the trailer with us? I have nowhere to park a 53 foot trailer. Bobtail yes but with the trailer no way in hell.
I asked my recruiter but she hasn’t gotten back to me on this. Thanks drivers!
