OK, back out beating my head against this engine again. Any of you know if these fuel pumps been known to go out completely cold turkey like this before?

I believe the early isx had a fuel shut off solenoid like a N14.
We have a few L9’s with the Detroit fuel water separator and I learned the hard way not to change both at the same time.

Yes see if it has power to it when cranking the engine

If it has power pull it off there and throw the guts away put it back on and see if it starts. If it does you’ll have to snuff it out but then you’ll know that’s your problem. Naturally if it doesn’t have power or looses it while cranking it’s gonna a power issue.

    Early 30’s

We have learned through his mother that he’s always had a heart condition. Something he never shared with us
